services provided to our residents at Shepherd of the Valley. To
accomplish this goal, we offer a variety of funding opportunities.

Past Funding Projects
With guidance and oversight by our Board of Directors, Shepherd's
Foundation is held responsible to serve as an effective steward of the
gifts given to advance our mission. Donations are
used to fund a variety of projects throughout Shepherd of the Valley.
Recent projects include, but are not limited to:
SOV Boardman
- Hosting a staff appreciation picnic
- Purchase of 25 High / Low Beds for
our Boardman site
- Sponsoring various resident programs
SOV Howland
- Purchasing a bird Aviarium for
nursing unit
- Purchasing a wheelchair glider swing
for nursing unit
- Raising of a memorial flagpole, in
honor of James A. Roemer
- Purchasing a NuStep TRS 4000,
recumbent exercise equipment
- Installing the Genevieve Folger Memorial Garden
SOV Niles
- Sponsoring a Labor Day band with a
grant from the
Coviello Memorial Fund
- Hosting a staff appreciation picnic
and bingo night
- Sponsoring supplies for AOPHA Art
Show
- Sponsoring our annual Car Show for
residents and public
- Building a raised flower / garden
bed for Niles residents
- Purchasing a NuStep TRS 4000,
recumbent exercise equipment
- Purchasing a TV and stand for
Assisted Living common area

- Installing a Bocce court walkway
- Purchasing and installing a
fireplace insert for Assisted Living lobby
