Established in 1972, Shepherd of the
Valley-Niles is viewed as the heart of the Shepherd family. A
non-profit retirement community, Shepherd of the Valley-Niles offers a
true continuum of care, offered in a scenic wooded setting.
Shepherd of the Valley-Niles provides
affordable independent living apartments with social activities, an
activity center, and scheduled transportation. Two levels of
assisted living care without the extra charges include help with
medication from reminders to administration, nutritious daily meals,
special diets, social activities, personal care, and housekeeping, all
included in the monthly rate. An
active social calendar offers entertainment for our residents. Our
independent residents attend and host numerous activities in the Club
House and the staff organizes many events throughout the year.

4th Annual Car Show and the upcoming 14th Annual Holiday Craft Show.
Renew your spirit in our Chapel. Our pastoral care
staff is trained to meet your spiritual needs through worship, Bible
study, and pastoral counseling.
The Niles community has a deep sense of family because of the continuum
of care. Often, residents make their home in the independent
apartments and move through the levels of care as their needs change.
Many have made their home with us for 10 or 20 years. Need we say
more about tradition?
