A Senior Action Group was formed by community agencies in response to concerns for home bound seniors during the COVID-19 crisis.
We initially formed to address concerns of food security but has evolved to address:
- Pick-up and delivery of medicine and/or food
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Trips to the bank
- Check-in calls with seniors
- Sewing masks for healthcare professionals
If you are a senior needing help, please call Help Network at 211.
If you are willing to volunteer, please go here or call 330-530-4038, ext. 2222.
We need volunteers to shop, drive and deliver as well as manage the temporary Oak Hill food bank. We are also looking for volunteers willing to be phone pals for seniors.
If you want to make a donation of food, we can arrange to pick it up or you can drop it off. We will be working out of Oak Hill on Monday-Thursday from 10am-2pm beginning Monday, March 30. We also need donations of sturdy boxes and bags to pack the food for our seniors.
If you want to make a monetary donation, the League of Women Voters is taking donations here.
If you are an agency willing to partner with us, please call 330-530-4038, ext. 2222. You can also reach out to Danielle Procopio at 330-774-3522 or by email at email@example.com.
